Nokia awarded as world’s most Sustainable Technology Firm


Leading mobile phone maker Nokia named as the world’s most sustainable technology firm by the new prestigious Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes review 2010. Nokia got this award for the second time in a row. It’s the second straight year Nokia was chosen as technology super-sector leader making it to the top spot of the world’s technology sector.
This selection covers over 2,500 companies worldwide. Dow Jones sustainability award covers some criteria. The criterias are customer relationship management , risk management, standards for suppliers, environmental policy and management system, labor practices, talent attraction and human capital development.
"Nokia executive president and chief financial officer Timo Ihamuotila said in a statement its a great achievement the second consecutive number one slot across the entire global technologyindustry is a great recognition of continued and strong commitment by Nokia employees."
